The main broom, also known as a tube broom, pickup broom, underbody broom, etc., is a component specially designed for large-area cleaning. It is typically used for cleaning operations in places such as roads, streets, parking lots, and construction sites.
The main broom has dense and wear-resistant brush filaments. When the main broom rotates, it loosens debris, which is then collected by the sweeper’s vacuum system or stored in a hopper.

There are three optional materials for the brush filaments of the main broom: polypropylene (PP), steel wire, or a blended material of polypropylene and steel wire.
Polypropylene (PP) main brooms are widely used due to their excellent durability and wear resistance. They can effectively clean various road surfaces and are highly suitable for urban street cleaning scenarios.
Steel wire main brooms have the advantages of wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high hardness, making them the first choice for heavy-duty cleaning. They can effectively remove stubborn dirt and oil stains; however, their minor drawback is that they may cause damage to the cleaned surface.
Main brooms with blended polypropylene and steel wire material combine the advantages of the two aforementioned types: they can not only clean general debris but also remove hard-to-eliminate stains, providing versatile cleaning capabilities.
